And then I make good on my promise....

...to show some pictures of Sarah at prom, that is.


First there was the preparation. We spent a few hours in the bathroom beautifying. Most of that time was spent curling Sarah's hair.

Boy does that girl have TONS of hair. And it is thick. And beautiful.

Adam couldn't stand being left out so he came to add some comical relief. But it's not like we needed much help in that department.

Breaking the towel rack, and burning Sarah's hair were some of the things that transpired during the hours of beautifying. (Just so you know, I did the first thing, KaLee did the second.)

And so KaLee doesn't ring my neck, it was only two strands of hair that came in contact with the lighter. Yes. I said lighter*.


Seriously Adam, are you sure we are related? I swear I seem normal..... (just kidding, Ad.)

Notice the hair clip on my jacket and hair spray under my arm. I meant business. I was in charge of the hairspray. No Wyoming wind was going to ruin my creation...I mean our creation. Sorry, Ka.

The finished product, minus the dress. Get a look at those eyelashes. Seriously, Sarah has the longest eyelashes known to woman. They are so long that she doesn't need mascara, we just pulled it out for this special occasion.

*In case you were wondering. The lighter was supposed to be used on the ribbon ends to stop them from fraying. But somebody got a little carried away with the hairspray and made it impossible to have anything flammable within inches of Sarah.

My Little Bro

Now that I have my camera cord... (Well, I never actually found MY camera cord. My Mom had an extra one that fit our camera. Thanks Mom!)

It is time to reminisce about by little brother coming home from Guatemala.

Although it has been over a month since he came home, I still forget that he is really here and just a phone call away. (I guess that is what happens when you are gone for two years.)

Adam was scheduled to fly into Cheyenne airport around 9:45pm. Due to getting some last minute preparations, (such as making signs, a banner, getting balloons, and getting ready) we were running a little late. Which ended up leading to sprinting through the parking lot and bursting through the airport doors. Only to find out a few minutes later that Adam was not even on his flight.

Yep. No Adam.

Surprisingly my Mom and Dad took it well.

Though, needless to say, we were quite bummed. Our grand entrance was for nothing. We did get a lot of stares as we held up signs and balloons for a person that wasn't even on the flight.

This picture just about sums up our feelings. I was quite sad and Alayna was quite tired.

After several phone calls, we tracked down Adam and found out he was in Denver. There was a mix up with the tickets. We decided it wasn't that much farther down to Denver, so we would just drive down and get him.

The wait was totally worth it though!

Here we are in the Denver airport. I couldn't believe he was really there.

Most of the night Alayna just stared at him. She was trying to figure out who he was and what all of the excitement was about.

I just have to say that I love this guy. Isn't he cute? (But girls, you are just gonna have to wait. My mom doesn't want him dating for awhile. :)

I am so glad he is back. He is the same ol' Adam, just a little older and with a Spanish accent. :)

We love you, Adam.

He's Back!

My little brother, Adam, just came back from serving a 2 year mission in Guatemala!

It was so great to see him. He looks great!

Unfortunately I left my camera (with all my pics on it) at my parents house so you will have to wait a little to see all the pictures.

And we won't have Internet for another week and a half (I am currently using the Internet at the public library).

Just had to update and let everyone know how excited we are that Adam is back!
