They are stickers put on wooden stained blocks, then a layer of Mod Podge is put over the top.
I ordered the set from here but you can also just order the stickers.

They look like the stamps from Stamping Up. You will have to show my mom, I think she would love them.
Have your met our cousin Connie yet? She is Marion's daughter. She lives there, and is really into card making and crafty things. She would probably love these too. Have Marion introduce you;)
